The normalization of pure malice against Stray Kids has crossed a line, it needs to be talked about.

As a music listener, I know their experimental, polarizing style is not for everyone. Experimental music is not new to K-pop. You don’t have to like them, but disliking music does not justify malice. I need to get this off my chest because navigating social media as a Stay has become incredibly draining lately. It is one thing to dislike a group’s music, but the community has crossed a line into pure malice. What bothers me the most is how normalized it has become. If you defend them, you are immediately labeled toxic.

The members perform fan service like any other group, regardless of gender. Yet, anti-fans deliberately twist their high energy and genuine quirks into “cringe” or malicious behavior to justify horrific personal attacks. People jump on the hate train just for clout and engagement, forgetting that these are real human beings who see what is being said about them. What breaks my heart the most is how normalized this cyberbullying has become.

Anti-fans disguise their dislike as “concern” or “musical analysis” just to fuel the daily hate train. Even when good-faith appreciation posts are made, the comment sections are immediately flooded with nonsensical, unrelated, ragebaited hate Just pure hate, like treating them as an untouchable being, I don’t get it. Like, it seems subreddits meant for K-pop and the community here have just normalized treating SKZ’s existence in K-pop with nothing but pure disrespect and disgust.

I don’t expect the entire K-pop community to love Stray Kids’ music, nor do I expect everyone to vibe with their personalities. That is completely fine. But I do expect people to treat them with basic human decency. They are real human beings just like other idols, and they do not deserve to be treated as the community’s permanent punching bag.
