If Western pop artists were signed to K-pop companies, which ones do you think they’d end up under? Soloists, groups, bands, anyone counts.

These are some of mine:

Little Mix – SM
Beyoncé – SM
Britney – JYP
*NSYNC – SM
Backstreet Boys – SM
One Direction – HYBE
Ariana Grande – SM
Zayn – SM
Justin Timberlake – YG
Harry Styles – HYBE

I feel like Little Mix, *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys especially would fit SM because of the vocals, harmonies and how polished they were as groups. Ariana and Zayn also feel very SM to me because of how vocal-heavy and R&B influenced their music is.

Britney just screams JYP to me. So much of her career was built around catchy pop songs, choreography and being a performer first.

One Direction feels HYBE because they were so fandom and personality driven, and I could see Harry staying with HYBE as a soloist too.

Justin Timberlake feels more YG to me, especially his solo career. He’s much more R&B and hip-hop focused, and the whole singer/dancer with a cooler image and Timbaland/Neptunes production just feels more YG-esque.

Beyoncé is probably the hardest one to place because at this point she basically feels like she’d be her own company, but if I had to pick one, the vocals and huge performances make me lean SM.

Where would you put Western artists if they were under K-pop companies?
