Ok, I am a huge BTS fan, but not as devoted as my more die hard Army. I have not kept up with all their solo acts, but I loved everything I saw.
One of my favorite parts of BTS is their dancing. But, if I take my bias glasses off, I can see their flaws in dancing. (I grew up dancing.) EVEN THOUGH I have not but a crumb of talent compared to them, I sort of self insert when I dance and I can, if I let myself, critique some things. I never share it, because it’s like telling the internet how Simone Biles can improve her triple back pike. Like, I am not even worthy to think it.
But, I have to share about my newfound love for “Killin’ It Girl” by Jhope. I never watched it until now, and BOY. How could one of the best dancers in all of KPOP have improved? Like, how do you get better than “the Best”?
To go into detail, the ONLY flaw I think Jhope has is that he can sometimes overdance. (This is like, again, telling Simone Biles that she has room for improvement.) Jhope’s energy leads to sliiight inaccuracies in dancing. Maybe a HAIR faster than he should. (In comparison to backup dancers, who have more time to perfect this.) For an example, look at Chicken Noodle Soup. I would not change anything about it, but you see where he can “overdance.”
But then, in Killin’ It Girl, he DOESN’T overdance! Like, he like improved! Like, his accuracy is on POINT and his tempo is refined!
It just shows how good of a performer he is. I don’t think everyone would have noticed, but I bet you he can see where he can improve, and he does it. He just showed that he takes his art seriously and doesn’t think he’s above refining his craft.
It’s amazing.
More hardcore Armys can give more evidence, I’m sure.
Question for you guys: When has an idol, who is the “Best” in the group in an aspect, shown improvement even where there’s not much of anything to improve on.
