I’m asking this not trying to be combative at all.
But how do international fans (specially western ones) seem to really be doubling down on this anti-NewJeans narrative when everyone else around them isn’t?
Everyone else can see this situation for what is really is about. Hybe/BSH not being able to take credit for NWJNS success therefore he decided to make his own version of them.
Everyone else can acknowledge that while simultaneously acknowledging those ILLIT girls are unjustly paying the consequences for the actions and choices of adults. Expect for yall.
Why is that? Genuinely asking. Because you say you support NWJNS and aren’t pro-hybe but the way yall talk about them and either infantilize or villainize them says differently.
The overall Korean gp (knetz included) support the girls, the overall kpop industry (idols, past idols, producers, choreographers, etc) support the girls. All EXCEPT for yall.
The insistent need to paint MHJ (while she’s a weirdo) into this wicked witch figure, while also having this obsession with needing the girls to be humbled is odd.
And I know it’s anti NewJeans just based off of how yall talk about Hanni and her being at the National Assembly.
Yall sat and giggled with glee (across all social media platforms) about the Ministry of Labor dismissing her case, even those she never petitioned them to look at it, tokkis did. And I find that odd, because the ruling that Idols/Entertainers aren’t workers affects your idols as well.
I’m just really curious. This seems like a case of yall not disliking the message but the messenger. Because plenty of other kpop groups talk very openly about hating their company, and hating their CEO. I personally feel what NewJeans is asking for isn’t too much.
I think y’all just don’t like NewJeans and I want to know what it is about them and this situation that has yall being the outliers?
This is an open space, as long as you’re not outrightly spewing hate towards NWJNS, I’d like to hear what yall have to say.
