How are native Korean Muslims generally viewed by ordinary South Koreans?

I recently heard that the modern native Korean Muslim community traces its roots to the Korean War, when some Koreans converted to Islam through contact with the Turkish Brigade serving under the UN forces. The community later grew during the 1970s, when many South Koreans worked in the Middle East and some returned after converting to Islam.

I’m curious about how ordinary South Koreans view ethnic Korean Muslimsm, Koreans who converted to Islam or who were raised in Korean Muslim families. Are they generally accepted as just another religious minority? Do people tend to distinguish native Korean Muslims from Muslim immigrants or from broader perceptions of Islam?
