I noticed that a majority of HYBE groups debut with an album. Something that I really like, as I get to really see what these groups’ vibe is gonna be, not something I can really infer from just a single. In my opinion, groups under Hybe start with bangers right off the bat. So, I was thinking of discussing what your favorite songs are from them. To give an example:
I’m starting with these; I’m not gonna include every group, or we will be here a while.
ENHYPEN: Given-Taken, the whole song is impeccable; it gave me shivers when I first heard it. Honestly, this song reminds me of how enraptured the audience was in KPOP Demon Hunter when the Saja Boys performed “Your Idol,” because that’s how I felt; I was captivated. I felt spellbound.
Le Sserafim: Sour Grapes is my favorite song; however, honestly, I rarely listen to it or their debut album, as I prefer their later work, for example, Crazy and Easy.
NewJeans: The only song I put on my playlist was “Cookie”; it was more my vibe than their other songs. However, after the controversy over the song, I no longer listen to it; in my opinion, maybe that’s why I like ETA so much, since it has a similar vibe. More upbeat.
&Team: My favorite song hands down is Under the Skin; whenever I listen to it, I feel I’m entering a whole new world, a fantastical realm, and I’m about to embark on an exciting adventure. This is the type of song that makes me feel excited the same way a good book does. Second fav is The Final Countdown.
Boy Next Door: One and Only
TWS: Unplugged Boy, the song makes me feel like a warm hug but also a push forward (that you can do it, that you are not alone).
Illit: Magnetic is my fav song; at first listen, I was obsessed. I replayed it so much that, for a time, I was over it. However, I still enjoy it to this day. This song just oozes happiness.
Cortis: N/A (don’t really listen to them). I only know Redred
Tuide: Echo
You can also include other groups like Seventeen, Gfriend, and NU’EST, as well as fromis_9’s first album/EP under Hybe. As well as BTS and TXT’s debut album, as Bighit was Hybe originally.
Gfriend(The Labyrinth): Honestly, when I tell you I really loved the entire album. Especially Here We Are and Eclipse.
Seventeen(Heng:garæ): Left and Right
TXT: Nap of Star is so beautiful; I felt like I was going on a long journey to the unknown. The song by itself is gorgeous, but the MV brings it to new heights. Please Go Watch The MV; this was when I really started getting curious about the group.
BTS: We are Bulletproof
I’m okay with critique, but don’t be backhanded about it. I shouldn’t have to say this, but NO HATE!
I was thinking of making a more positive post about Hybe groups. I noticed a huge uptick in the amount of hate that these groups are getting from other K-pop fans, so I was like, let’s not all be negative Nancy here. What happened to “let’s not hate the idols, but the company”? If this post somehow offends your sensitive sensibilities, and you can’t help yourself. You’re basically outing yourself as having no self-control and being incapable of ignoring this post. It’s not for you.
