self-produced as in = singer-songwriter and sometimes composer
hueningkai is really talented with instruments and melodies/rhythms, i feel like he could definitely be like part of txt’s “3racha”, he’s also done some songwriting for the team, most recent is a verse in 21st century romance
beomgyu has also shown interest in producing songs, he can also write soulful lyrics (like han) as seen in his mistape panic and his solo take my half
taehyun and yeonjun has also shown ability in songwriting, the most recent from yeonjun is long way long ride and then taehyun‘s bird of night
i don’t know much about soobin yet but he has a really nice voice, it surprised me to know that he sings a lot of high notes considering he has a low regular voice
i dont know, i just really wanna see an album from them in the future where most of the songs dont have a long list of people being credited for lyrics,
im not saying its bad to mostly outsource lyrics/songs from other songwriters/producers, it just kinda helps to know whether a song is really what the artist wants to express and it gets kinda difficult which words are whose if there’s a long list of people chipping in
im also not saying they have to do it for every song since it gets tiring, maybe just the title track or one b-side,
i dont know how stray kids/3racha does it honestly, those guys are crazy workaholics
though ngl, i dont know if jyp/div1 is just really bad with crediting or if hybe/bighit is doing really well with crediting contributors
i dont know a lot about other groups since these two are the only ones i follow, though i know idle is also heavily involved in their music
what other groups do you guys think has the potential?
