Two Dishes, One Pot: 냉수육+돼지국밥

Hi everyone! Recently my wife made a Korean-style cold boiled pork set meal (naengsuyuk hansang) that’s been trending in Korea, and I couldn’t resist posting it here to show it off a little.

The best part about this menu is that you can use the broth left from boiling the pork to make dwaeji gukbap (pork soup with rice), so it feels like you’re getting two dishes from one process. Unlike the usual warm suyuk, cold suyuk has a different, firmer texture, and the pork aroma comes through a bit more richly when it’s chilled. On top of that, a clean and comforting bowl of pork soup on the side is just so satisfying.

When people eat suyuk, they often top it with kimchi or geotjeori (fresh, quick kimchi) and buchu muchim (seasoned chives), so she made those as well!
