The plastic Kimchi fermentation containers, how safe are they?

I asked this in a fermentation sub but realized best to go to the source.

These containers are a genius design which I plan to use for various fermentations, not just kimchi. But everywhere else, we are told to not ferment in plastic.

So curious, is this a special plastic, or is plastic leeching into ferments overblown?

(I’m still going to buy one)
