Travelling around South Korea. What local dishes should I not miss?

Hi all!

I’m travelling to South Korea soon, and I’d love to get some recommendations for dishes to try. I love Korean food, and I’ll definitely be trying all the common dishes that can be found in Western countries too, like bibimbap, kimchi jjigae, etc. I really want to experience how they’re made locally, without any adjustments to suit European tastes.

I’d also love to try regional dishes and local specialties that might be harder to find outside Korea.

I’ll be visiting several places, including Seoul (obviously 😂), Gyeongju, Busan, Suncheon, Boseong (because of the tea fields!), Damyang, Gwangju, and Jeju.

If you have anything in mind, please share! It can be absolutely anything. Even if I don’t like it, my boyfriend eats everything, so nothing will go to waste. 😂

Thank you! ❤️

P.S. My boyfriend will eat basically any seafood you put in front of him, and I absolutely love soups, so recommendations for either are especially welcome! ☺️
