Honestly, a lot of fans act like some type of momagers that feel entitled to dictate the artistry and marketing of their faves leading to the faltering or stagnation of their faves’ careers.
If I were an idol and found myself with insufferable fans who complain about every song and only wanting us to pigeonhole ourselves into one specific genre and not to experiment, I would hate them.
There are artists I don’t stan that I pity. There’s nothing they can do that pleases their fans. Any kind of music is a problem, outfits are an issue, literally everything is a controversy. Those trucks would be so embarrassing
Don’t get me started on western promotions and the drama that surrounds them especially from the kside but also internationally (in the form of ” we want more music shows” “keep kpop Korean” “we don’t want westernization “). Then a few years later they start complaining that the label didn’t push the group to the west when the company clearly took the feedback that the fanbase provided.
Small tangent but the whole” keep kpop Korean ” is so icky. I’m sorry but these are people who can have desires and artistry that shouldn’t be observed as “Korean ” or”wrong “. It’s actually insane and I have never seen anything like it where people are determined to pressure an artist to adhere to what they view as their culture instead of viewing the artist as an individual who can want whatever. It’s very weird .
