Tagged as a shitpost bc i don’t really have anything to say about this. I also love a lot of songs produced by demjointz, albeit with some exceptions, but this is far from a hatepost.
I was just thinking about how many SM artists songs r made by demjointz bc that new gg A20(????) debut is also produced by him. Idk the company situation with them bc i heard they aren’t a SM group but that LSM made them? So idk. Anyway, for reference, I’ll add a list of the titles / singles which demjointz is credited as producer on (within SM artists). Also for the unaware, he’s the one who makes “experimental” beats and his tag is the “INCOMIIIIIING” one which is undoubtedly iconic, personally i love it so much.
Cherry Bomb – NCT 127
Something New – Taeyeon
Obsession – EXO
2YA2YAO! – SuJu
Kick It – NCT 127
Punch – NCT 127
Don’t Call Me – Shinee
Sticker – NCT 127
Universe – NCT U
Step Back – GOT the beat
Ay-Yo – NCT 127
Supernova – aespa
Sexy in the Air – Taemin
Rock Solid – Taeyong
WDA – aespa
And now NEON by A20 LITE(?), so as you can see that’s a lot of songs and a lot of them are NCT lmaoo. I just wonder why he’s always making songs for SM artists, I wonder if it’s contractual or if he’s just that loved by them lollll. Either way, good for him! Just interesting bc obviously he has other kpop creds but the bulk of them are from SM.
He also has way more bsides for SM artists other than these, a few ReVe credits i think? At least one. Either way it’s just interesting bc i don’t know of any other company commissioning one producer this much?
