This post isn’t for discussing fanwars or deciding who is right or wrong. After all squabbles between fandoms might have absolutely nothing to do with the group, the artist or you personally. You can name your fandom if you like or keep it to yourself. I was curious to ask about this ’cause such opinions are usually unbiased (not always, but often). I find it interesting to hear positive things about various artists from people who aren’t actually fans of theirs. I’ll start i suppose.
I’m a STAY, and for years I’ve seen how often fan wars break out between STAYs and MOAs. I don’t really follow TXT, though i do catch wind of some of their comebacks. I like that, year after year, they stick to their signature sound while occasionally experimenting. I think they’ve carved out a niche for themselves in the industry and thanks to that, they’ll retain a core fanbase for the long haul. That soft (or something along those lines) sound characteristic of recent bgs strikes me as unique. I like the sort of ethereal, dreamy quality of their aesthetic. I heard that the label’s producer even commented on the matter but idk if it’s true.
What are your thoughts? It would be interesting to hear your take on a group or artist you don’t stan but all opinions are welcome.
