My thoughts after attending day 1 of the KGMAs

I am on my way home from the first day of the KGMAs and wanted to share some of my thoughts on the award show.

  1. It was really empty like maybe a 1/4 of the seats were filled. There was no one within 5 rows of me in any direction. This gave the whole event a kind off feeling and the crowd reactions were kind of muted. I don’t know how the KGMa decided on Gochek sky dome but it was way too big for the actual attendance. Hopefully tomorrow it is fuller.

  2. It was so long. The event lasted about 4.5 hours and those seats were not comfortable. By 3 hours my butt hurt and by 3.5 I was thinking of leaving early. I am glad no one was near me because for the last 20 minute or so I kept moving around and stretching. I have a ticket for tomorrow and I am thinking of buying a cushion for the chair. Also since it was so long a lot of people left before it was over and ngl I had a hard time paying attention to the last couple of acts.

  3. TUIDE’s performance was underwhelming and they barely used the stage. I dont know how it looked online but in person they were the only performance didn’t do something extra like have a dance breack, back dancers, use the whole stage, etc. It felt more like a weekly music show performance and not an award show performance. This would have been great opportunity to show off their talents/dancing and it wasn’t used.

  4. P1Harmony’s performance was my favorite of the night. Their backup dancers especially for the start of Pandemonium were incredible and I loved how they were used and their outfits

  5. Dayoung is so hot and she knows it. Like she is one of the most attractive people I have seen in my life. This is the 3rd award show I have seen her at and each time she blows me away. I hope she releases more solo music and has concert because I want to see her in concert so badly.

  6. Novelbright – this was my first time hearing about the J-rock group and while their music isn’t really my style their performance especially 예뻤어 with YoungK was really good and the lead singer did a good job moving around and engaging with the crowd.

  7. ADP’s performance was good but I couldn’t stop thinking about Tarzzan trying to stage dive and kept laughing.

  8. Close you eyes’s No Doubt and IDID’s Cherry Bomb covers were both great and the crowd seemed to really like them with Cherry Bomb getting some of the loudest cheers of the night.

  9. I am not a trot fan so I didnt know Jang Minho. His song was okay but he has some very dedicated older fans which were cool to see
