Title. Are there any kpop groups whom you really love the members, like you follow them, tune in to their activities, variety shows, social media and stuff but only is a casual when it comes to their discography and songs?
First one on my list is ITZY. I love all the members since their guesting on Knowing Brothers the first time. To me each one is a powerhouse member when it comes to their forte. They’re very funny too and great on variety shows. I’m always up to date on what’s latest on each member especially Ryujin and Chaeryeong. I always watch Lia’s YT channel too.
But how many songs of them I’ve played on YT and spotify in recent years? I’m gonna be real honest, not as much. Not updated with their previous and new songs either. The last time I got hooked on a song of them that I kept on playing was “Not Shy” and that was 6 years ago. Like I said I love the members but their music just seems not for me or my strong liking.
Second is KiiiKiii. Man, I loved them and was fanboying crazy over them a couple of years ago, around the time Newjeans left the scene around late 2024. I got familiar with all the members very quickly and watched their fancams and guestings on TV and YT. They were great on Game Caterers and Knowing Brothers too and I loved all the members personalities. But ever since “Dancing Alone”, I kinda lost some liking to their music.
That “404 Era era” song is just not for me unfortunately as well as their new releases that followed. I hope they make songs that I’ll like in the future but for now I kinda have them on the bottom part of my playlist. But like ITZY, I love all the members especially Leesol and Sui. I always see KiiiKiii members on my IG and X feed daily. But as much as I love the members, I gotta admit not much of their new releases.
