How did k-pop’s English terminology develop?

When I first started getting into kpop, one of the fun little interesting things for me was all the English terminology that’s used differently/uniquely in this space compared to the contexts I’m used to in the US. Terms like “comeback”, “stage”, “bias”, “visual”, etc all have specific meanings in kpop. I wonder how those terms got established? Did they stem from discussion of kpop by international fans? Were they the closest translation Koreans could find to specific Korean terms? If so what was the impetus for using English terminology to begin with? Can it be traced exactly when these terms became widespread? Do they predate kpop? Like did people say about old trot performers, “she’s prepared a stage of the title track from her comeback mini album?” I was just letting my mind wander this morning and became so curious about this topic!
