So I have always liked yg group their music totally standout like listening to groups like BigBang,Winner,ikon and girlgroups 2ne1,Blackpink music I could say “This is YG” but however never got that feeling from Treasure…..it change totally to me they felt like most boygroups from other companies releasing the same type of music I don’t know if its because kpop is oversaturated now that it is difficult to carve out a space but i never felt that signature yg vibe from them…I remember even though Winner,ikon had relatively short peaks they had an incredible impactful time on the korean charts and loved by general public outside of their fandom too and I think that played a huge role in their popularity in their homecountry…have always like yg artist before so I tried checking out their music but usually the factor that draws me to yg artist was missing from them like their songs were similar to many other boygroups it was giving nothing different from others…I know they are very successful in Japan and Southeast Asia they have a massive fanbase filling stadiums selling more albums than their seniors but being known as a household name like their seniors in their homecountry is another kind of thing …Of course a senior group’s success doesn’t guarantee a junior group will hit but given YG’s track record with their boygroups in their homecountry although short but all had a impactful time so I always wondered what went wrong domestically with treasure
