I’m gonna be brutally honest and no hard feelings, but I can’t imagine SAKURA being in a group of Western Women in their 20s when Sakura herself is literally only 16 with no strong English background, as Emily mentioned that the 3 of them need to adjust their communication with her. Why can’t HYBE include Ayana, Jayla, or even both, or at least give the former Dream Academy trainees this chance since they already somewhat built a connection with Emily, Lexie, and Samara?
Sakura fits in K-pop/J-pop more, and if you’re gonna ask, “what about Yoonchae?”, well, obviously, I can see Yoonchae would fit with Katseye before debuting, and she’s only months behind from Lara, so once she turns 18, they can do more mature theme music; she has the talent, skills, and English being more developed than Sakura’s.
Sakura is only going to limit the group’s identity and discography due to her background, age, and undeveloped vocals.
I’m confidently sure that Emily, Lexie, and Samara aren’t that pleased to hear who’s gonna be with them after debuting that 4th member at the back of their minds, and they had no choice but to suck it up. In their live, I can really feel the 3 are trying very hard to adjust for Sakura BRUH.
