Before I explain, let me preface that I am a big BLACKPINK fan. I am not as hardcore as some, but I enjoy their music and I follow each of the members for different reasons.
That said, I’ve noticed a particular split in why I follow each member. I’ve found I listen a lot more to Rosé and Jisoo’s music than Jennie or Lisa, while I enjoy following Jennie and Lisa for their fashion and media presence.
Personally, I find that Jennie’s music is forgettable and boring. And Lisa’s music – the best way I can describe it is too intense and harsh on my ears. In comparsion, I think Jisoo’s music is easier to listen to and sing along, and it has that nice pop sound and beat that I could listen on repeat. Rosé I feel like has explored the most variety in sound, with a mix of ballads, pop, and alternative sound. I feel like there’s a bit of everything in terms of songs she’s released.
That all said, I find myself more interested in watching interviews, and seeing fashion highlights from Lisa or Jennie. They also both have this way about them (Idk how to describe it other than like their overall vibe) that is really magnetic.
Not saying Rose or Jisoo aren’t fashionable as well, just that Jennie and Lisa stand out more and I think take more fashion risks.
