During tours,where fans pay thousands to see their dols,I think they should tone down the choreography so they can sing live but in music shows? Where I can watch them for free on YouTube? I don’t really care if they lip sync or not
Now I do think that there should be standards on music shows too (and there are) but considering that they’re filmed at like 4am amidst all the other exhausting comeback preparations and promotions,I think that it’s ok if they don’t sing live,we should cut them some slack 😭
What’s truly important to me is live singing in tours and live events EXACTLY because music show performances are free. I did not spend thousands of dollars to attend your show just to watch a music show performance I can watch for free.
Also live singing inevitably requires more laid back choreography. I was watching an old mamamoo egotistic m countdown stage the other day where they sang fully live but the choreo was super light and laid back because this is the choreo you can do to sing FULLY live. Nowadays kpop fans would probably crucify them for having such light choreo,despite the great singing.
So in conclusion,live singing in music shows is always good and appreciated and alleviates a performance but isn’t necessary and in order to get more live singing in music shows,lighet choreo is needed. But in general I think where it’s absolutely needed is expensive live shows
