First of all – NO HATE!
When I look at HYBE x Geffen, I notice their artistic direction leans toward a very specific aesthetic. It’s not a bad thing — just a distinct creative lane. Their style tends to emphasize a more mature, sometimes sexualised image, paired with heavy electronic processing in their music. And to be clear, I don’t mean they’re hiding anyone’s vocals; it’s more that they intentionally use artificial textures, layered effects, and stylised autotune as part of their sound identity.
They still produce some genuinely solid tracks, but the overall vibe feels more like a hyper‑polished pop experiment than a traditional vocal‑focused idol concept. It’s bold, it’s curated, and it’s definitely not the typical K‑pop trainee-to-idol pipeline — it’s more Western‑leaning, performance‑driven, and concept‑first.
If I ever imagined debuting under them, I’d have to think about whether that artistic direction matches the kind of performer I want to be.
No hate – my observations/thoughts are:
Katseye are a pretty awesome group with lovely members, good stage presence and obviously really put together. I feel like their music is more experimental and more mature. Personally I like the group but I don’t necessarily like the creative direction as much. It’s because I think their personal styles (like singing and dance styles) don’t always match the group concepts here and there.
I don’t have enough knowledge of Saint Satine to say much about them.
And yeah, I know concepts and creative direction will change through out different groups but I’m more curious as to how you guys think it may change.
