How BTS pulled me into K-pop… and ZB1 made me stay

Today I felt like ranting a little about how I got into K-pop 😭

It actually started during COVID, when we were all stuck at home. One random day, I came across a clip from Run BTS — it was the one where Jungkook was wearing a purple hoodie and they were playing that pillow-pulling-through-the-hips game. It was so funny that I ended up watching Run BTS from episode 1 all the way to the latest episode.

After that, I naturally started listening to their music, and I was there during the “Butter” release era. BTS was the only K-pop group I followed, all the way until 2023.

Then they started to go to the military one by one, and things got kind of quiet. Around that time, clips from Boys Planet started showing up on my feed, specifically Sung Hanbin from episode 1. I got curious, started watching the show, and eventually became a fan of ZB1.

Honestly, I feel like the timing of Boys Planet was perfect for me. It came when BTS wasn’t very active, so it kind of kept me connected to K-pop.

Now I’m just a happy fan as both an ARMY and a ZEROSE. BTS is back and active again, ZB1 is also still there , and even though things have changed, they are 5 now.

Just feels like everything worked out at the right time.

Also, feel free to share how you all got into K-pop, I’d love to read your stories!!
