This is just my personal opinion and doesn’t speak for everyone, but from “Pinky Up” to Cortisis’ “Red Red” and now Le Sserafim’s “Celebration” these songs have been a total miss for me. I’d describe them as completely unmemorable. I had high hopes for these artists in 2026, but the releases so far have been particularly underwhelming.
“Pinky Up” feels like a forced attempt to make a catchphrase happen, what does it even mean? Is it a “drinks” thing? I’ve seen people on X suggesting it’s a reference to drugs, but regardless, the song isn’t catchy. If you showed someone this song alongside “Gnarly” and asked them to guess which came first, they’d think “Pinky Up” was the older track. Right now, the past is looking much better than what they’re currently promoting.”Red Red” by Cortisis just feels like a filler track, something that exists just to remind people you’re still making music. I’ve seen a greater amount of girls defend cortis and their music than boys.
To top it all off, there’s Le Sserafim’s “Celebration.” From the vocals to the beat and the music video, everything feels off. It sounds like a preschool song that even Disney Channel would reject, and the beat sounds like a generic SoundCloud find. The music video also feels like an attempt to reheat Blackpink’s “Jump.” I’m not here to slander anyone, I’m usually the first to praise a good song, but this entire era has been a miss for me so far. I’ll still wait for the full albums to drop, but these lead singles aren’t it. So that’s it, its how i feel at the moment and by no means speaks for everyone else, as others have loved it. but for me im not just feeling what i’m “supposed” to feel from these tracks.
