He loves me, but he is SO sensitive to the smell of Kimchi, and other garlic heavy or spiced food.
I normally don’t eat that much Kimchi because where I live it’s not easy to find. Last week I was staying at my dads, and I went through about 5kg of home made Kimchi as well as tons of soondae, yangnyum chicken, other banchan, korean jjigae and tang…. I know that’s a LOT but I don’t normally get home made Kimchi and it was SO good.
Since I’ve come back home he has refused to sleep in the same room (two days now), and comments that he can smell me from 1m away. He says it’s coming out of my pores I went to bed earlier last night and he says the room is filled with the smell
Yes I brushed my teeth several times and used mouth wash, and showered
Is he mega sensitive, or has anyone else had this experience of Kimchi and garlic smelling on you several days after eating lots of it? I’m a small person, maybe it gets more concentrated in me? (45kg)
Ps: he’s not being nasty he genuinely cannot stand the smell. He voluntarily sleeps on the couch. He still hugs me and kisses me (briefly) but just can’t sleep in the same room while I’m kimchi-fied
