This is the amount of days spent on Spotify global for all 4th and 5th gen bgs. No 5th gen bg has entered hence why they’re not on the list and songs with less than 13 are also not on the list.
Ngl, considering I was told 4th gen was the generation where groups were supposedly more popular globally, I was expecting higher numbers, especially from recent years. It kinda makes it seem that this global popularity was overhyped. Im surprised all the highest numbers are from like 2+ years ago.
Looking at this, not only does it strike out to me that it doesn’t even seem that the 4th gen bgs stayed that long on the Spotify global chart, but the bgs also seem to be regressing considering the amount of days is decreasing with each consecutive year.
Bgs streams however have increased year upon year and are generally greater overall than ggs, do fans just stream all tracks as compared to ggs?
Also I am quite shocked skz weren’t top three and treasure managed to be third when people seem to downplay their achievements. Although tbf that was from 2022, but still didn’t expect them to be so high up.
Also shocked ateez is not here, have they just not had enough days or have they never entered the chart?
I am definitely surprised that a 5th gen bg has already beat them in terms of amount of days on Spotify global and most likely will extend their lead considering they are still charting.
Plus Im pretty sure that same 5th gen bg has spent more days on Apple Music global, which is supposedly known to be very trustworthy and hard to cheat, in addition than the rest of the groups considering i dont think any of them have actually entered the chart and if they did, probably for not that long.
Maybe domestic popularity isn’t as overhyped as people say it is considering many groups will be able to for example accumulate many paks or stay number 1 or top 10 for long periods of time as compared to staying on the global chart for a few days.
