Why are Japanese idols rarely the lead / main vocalists?

Twice :- Neither Mina, Sana, nor Momo are lead/main vocalists

IVE :- Rei not a lead/main vocalist.

Baby Monster :- Neither Ruka nor Asa are lead / main vocalists

LE Sserafim :- I guess Sakura could be a vocalist, but again the main ones are Chaewon and Yunjin. Kazuha is not a vocalist.

Aespa :- Giselle not the lead / main Vocalist.

Can’t be a language issue. Minnie (thai), Chiquita, Ningning and Yuqi are all vocalists

I heard that one reason is that in Japan a vocalist can become successful without knowing how to dance, so they stay there. But by that logic, you can be successful in China and the US without dancing either, yet we see Chinese and Americans of Korean origin in K-pop
