About the Soojin references and the rebranding of Idle

I’m gonna be honest here, and I also want to specify that I’m a Idle fan, so that I don’t get too much bashed back :,).

I thought about doing this post for a lot of time, because I see a lot of ‘delulu’ fans and idk I wanted to express my opinion, and now that the whole rebranding and i-dle versions of songs came out I wanted to just say it.

I think that all of this stuff with the subtle mention of soojin in a lot of mvs and all of this subtle stuff is probably did on purpose by the company to gain attention.

Look, I’m not saying that the girls doesn’t care about soojin, also since I don’t know them Irl and cannot say anything about their bond with her, but I always think that at the end of the day the one that produce and publish all this content is Cube and sometimes I read comments about people that believe the girls are kinda shaming on Cube and give hints about Soojin coming back or referencing her as a tribute in their mvs, when it doesnt make sense to me, because as I said is still Cube the one that publish all of this, I don’t think it’s like them outsmarting the company to give secret hints to fans, I just feel they really like to stay around this mistery of one mysterious presence in their mv (ex. Revenge mv). I think it was a really effective way to make people talk about this whole situation “with the girls that didn’t forget about her, including her in the mvs” and, I repeate, I don’t think they don’t miss her and stuff, but just that it’s not that simple either.

For example, yes, Soyeon mentioned Soojin in her rap, but didn’t say anything about the scandal, she just explained how no one believed in idle after soojin left, so I didn’t feel like it was a tribute to her or a hint about her coming back, just Soyeon rapping about the difficulties the group embraced after she was gone.

I honestly don’t care about all this hints and stuff because I just feel like all this situation has been exploited by the company to gain more attention on the group and the fact that “they didn’t forget about Soojin” (or for the rebranding, “that they decided to move one”)

Yes, again, in their private life they probably miss her, but it’s not like they are battling against their company with their Mvs to have Soojin back, I just feel people like to imagine they have a lot of power (I read stuff about people thinking Soyeon would leave the company to find one on her own for example) to decide all of this stuff, when I don’t know, definitely they have a lot of space to create music, but I dont think they manage EVERYTHING ELSE (Mvs, rebranding, every martketing decision).

Also soojin started a solo project, so again, no doubt that they are not gonna rejoin in one group together. For the decision of rebranding the song without soojin I read some comments talking about the royalties, I guess it makes sense, but again, the whole mv with the coffin etc., I think it’s made on purpose to make people think of soojin, like “the girls finally said goodbye to her and embrace the OT5”, when it’s just us making the OT5 songs, probably thinking about the concert? (I think this decision didn’t make a lot of sense, I have to listen to them but I honestly don’t have any reason to switch and start listening the OT5 songs, since I follow them since debut lmao)
