Over in the western world, you have artists like Miley Cyrus and Doja Cat who have only ever dabbled in the Metal/Rock genre several times. Though, it’s clear that both of these artists have opted for different creative directions (i dont think Plastic Heart was allat) which is a shame because both of these artists have the perfect voices for heavier Metal or Rock-influenced music.
And then you have Halsey, who, over time recognized that she had the perfect voice for that type of music and began making Alternative Rock inspired music and ATE it every single time! (no seriously check out “Experiment on me”, “Easier than lying”, and “Lonely is the muse”)
Over the top of my head though, I can’t think of any K-pop idols that have the perfect voice for heavier, more vocally demanding Rock/Metal tracks. It’s mostly because I’m not a vocal expert in the first place and I just don’t consume a lot of live K-pop performances as much as I used to. I do remember that Hueningkai of TXT covered “Sk8er boy” once, but I think he was just okay. I wanna know if there are any K-pop idols out there that can SCREAM their B*LLS off, if you know what I mean.
