We need to bring back proper disbandments. I hate when it’s clear a group isn’t gonna have activities again because they haven’t released music or had any appearances together for years yet there’s no closure by the company or even the members themselves and they let the group’s fate up in there in hope of using whatever brand power there might be left. I think it sucks for the fans because it leaves them with false hope the group might come back for years and provides zero closure.
I think the fans deserve closure when it’s clear a group has called it wraps and not just silent disbandment. I think the best form of disbandment is the one purple kiss had last year. They let the fans know months in advance and had one of the best farewells I’ve ever seen,with one last korean cb,an English album and a tour before they go. That way,the fans could enjoy them one last time while getting proper closure.
I think this is how disbandments should be in the future. Be upfront and honest with the fans beforehand instead of just silently wrapping it up,have a proper farewell with music and stuff and then disband for good. Honestly I’m tired of groups silently frizzling out with zero closure.
