I feel like in discussion about HYBE, the fact that they are an umbrella company is ignored.

Hello, so there is a lot of discussion over Hybe and artist treatment under Hybe. While a lot of concerns are completely valid, I feel like a lot of discourse misses one key fact, Hybe is not directly in charge of most of these groups. To my understanding, Hybe is an umbrella company, meaning that they have multiple smaller subsidiary companies below them. While they do have a say in certain decisions, especially financially, day to day activities, releases, and activities are managed by individual companies, not Hybe generally speaking. While they do share resources, these companies mostly manage themselves unless it becomes a risk of breaking that subsidiary contract (MHJ and Ador). It feels disingenuous to me to discuss it as one company, rather than individuals like Pledis, BigHit, Ador, etc. I am fully willing to change this viewpoint if a good explanation comes along, but for now I don’t quite understand this.
