What are some kpop stats/achievements/etc. from the past that remind you of how much the standards have changed over the years?

I thought it would be good to collect some since kpop has changed so much during its relatively short lifespan and fans often have the collective memory of a goldfish (not meant as an insult, this is what usually happens in fan communities of any medium after a while). But it’s important to know the past to have context for the present, especially for an online space that spends so much time discussing numbers and trends.

Mine is that not long after its release in 2021, Stray Kids’ Noeasy became the first ever million selling album both from a 4th gen group (in the 4th year of the generation) AND from JYPE. This wasn’t even that long ago but compare it to now when so many groups, including rookies have become million or sometimes multiple million sellers… It’s still not nothing but it’s treated as much more of a “regular” milestone of success.
