안녕~ i am us-american but i mainly cook korean food, since that’s how i learned to cook. the only time i cook american food now is when i’m following a recipe in an old cookbook (i like vintage books), which made me wonder about korean ones. that type of cookbook that mostly moms in their 60s or older cook from, just homecooking without anything too special about it. like joy of cooking by irma rombauer, every mom i know has a copy of it, usually one that has been passed down since the ’40s. i find it very comforting, most korean recipes i find online are from moms like that, who just like to share recipes as hobby, so i really want to find a book like that. if it’s from the ’70s or earlier, that’s even better. preferably in korean, since i really need to get better at reading it. i’m at the level where i can usually understand recipes without a translator, but it’s hard for me to search for them in korean, so that’s why i’m asking here. if you have any recommendations i would really appreciate it! 고맙습니다 🙂
