Like many other zeroses here I am absolutely heartbroken at the fact that ZB1 had to split, but I am definitely excited to see what the Yuehuaz have ahead of them, and I can’t help but to feel even more excited when it is confirmed Seungeon will be joining them. Because this is the moment I know YH has the potential to struck gold.
As a zerose I have known just how good Zhang Hao is vocally. He has one of the most versatile voices of his generation, able to switch to higher and lower registers so efficiently, one of the best live performers because every single live singing clips of him gets compliments, and just have such a pleasing soft tone that I knew would go well with any kinds of voices. But I also had recognized just how good Seungeon really is. Since Boys Planet I can see he is easily one of a kind vocalist, and that carries to his career in Evnne. I don’t follow the group as much as I followed ZB1, but from what I can tell Seungeon is easily the soul of their discography because his voice is super recognizable, as well as possessing to me one of the best belting skills in fifth gen in combination with one of the greatest dynamics uses as well. Just listen to his King of Masked Singer performer if you don’t believe me.
So coming into And2ble’s debut, I know the fact that their potential to be amazing is there. Because if you have two of the best vocalists of their generation on the same group, I had high expectations on what their vocals would be like. Because if there was anyone in their generation that can pull off that kind of vocals, it would be them.
When Curious is finally released after long awaited debut, lo and behold:
I. was. RIGHT.
The absolute hooting and hollering from Zhang Hao and Seungeon specifically that just increases the enjoyment listening to the song. Them constantly belting within each other, them giving the chorus so much energy, them doing absolutely insane adlibs in between the choruses and the bridge, like oh my god it is vocal gold. I initially am a little suspicious considering the sound is kinda very processed but WOW did they absolutely blew me away with their vocals. YH made the correct choice of highlighting both of them specifically because they are just THAT insane of a vocalist material.
Go listen to Curious if you haven’t. I cannot stop listening to the song over and over again because genuinely the vocal that comes out from this group is nothing short of amazing.
