Maybe it’s just because I personally am obsessed with Lemon Tang, so I’m seeing a lot of reactions and stuff and getting more chances to hear people be negative towards it, but from what I’ve seen it seems like Lemon Tang is getting more hate as a song than a lot of kpop nowadays other than like Katseye lol.
I understand that people might not like it as much as I do, I don’t even know for sure what makes it so so addictive to me, I’ve been listening to it constantly lately, but to me at the very least it seems like it’s just as high production and good quality as their other title tracks which seem to get a lot of love. I’ve frequently heard people say they like the prechorus but not the chorus, and I guess maybe I can imagine someone expecting a different drop for the chorus, but the vocals are so strong, and I think the whole thing is just so bright and refreshing while also being catchy.
Maybe it feels slightly more basic in concept than their past title tracks because it’s just a pure summer song, but I’ve been seeing lots of people express legitimate strong dislike over it, and I just can’t understand why. No hate obviously, music is subjective, but I’m legitimately very curious. I know I like a lot of weird unique divisive songs, but this doesn’t seem like it would be one of those to me, so I’m confused.
If you don’t like it, definitely let me know why you think the reason is, I know music production is complicated and you kind of just either like it or don’t, you can’t really choose what you like, but if you have any idea of what turns you off from it, I would be curious to hear.
