I recently stumbled upon a huge hype for a girl group VVS on all major social media.
People are in love with their “bad bitch” concept… Literally, they are using a catchphrase “VVS HOE!” in their official posts.
The problem is one of the members is STILL 16 years old.
And they have been making songs full of sexual innuendos, swear words and even right wing political jokes since debut when that member was even younger and other members were also minors.

I remember the reception of their concept and ages being rather negative in the past.
Why did so many people suddenly decide that 16 year old singing those words is some bad ass girl power that needs to be supported?
So here, again I want to put just a few quotes from their new comeback album “Stay the night” (keep in mind one of them is literally 16y/o):

If you think you read that wrong and it has to be a mistranslation that lyric is literally in English…
COUNT IT UP:
VVS ain’t even flexin’, cash and it’s all blue Windows tinted, red bottoms, you love what a bitch do (Do) I don’t need your man, I got it, but he wanna leave ya Yeah, he gon’ send that deposit
In case someone wants to use the “the minor isn’t singing this part” excuse, the minor IS singing this part
Wipe my ass wit’ a hundo to LA from 종로
I just had to cite this part, it’s not only vulgar but so bad it’s honestly ridiculous

It’s pretty insane to me that their producers are trying to make them portray themselves as old ass adults on a midlife crisis party streak

That’s the chorus… I think no further comment is needed. Edit to put it into perspective because I couldn’t stop myself, this chorus is being read out by a MALE voice.

I just don’t understand why K-pop companies thing it’s such a great idea to make minors sing about getting drunk

Change the next one, I have a hot body The bad guy who came out with gossip I don’t bother using a nice tone The target of countless kids is, yeah, that’s me
Well at least the writers are self aware of what they are doing to those girls.
I honestly could have copied and pasted some of those songs in full because there were some where not even a single verse was appropriate for a 16 year old to sing.
And I don’t want to hear any excuses about “teenagers swearing too” those aren’t her words, she (no offence but it’s clear from their content) doesn’t even speak enough English to understand most of those lyrics, let alone write them. Their main writer and producer is a grown, white, American man Anthony Russo who knows that he is writing for a group with a child and still decides to write this.
So yeah, I have no idea what type of a person would be so hyped by children talking like this but apparently a lot of people are. What do you think?
