What made Jennie’s Ruby “stand out” compared to the other Blackpink members solo albums?

(Disclaimer please don’t use this to drag any other artists or member this is purely based on observation)

Okay, before I get whacked in this space, I am a Blink I know that many loves to scrutinize the girls in this sub so please take it easy on me 😭😭😭😭

I know that everyone in this sub has a lot of different opinions about the members and their solo careers. I think it’s great that they’re finally able to explore their own styles after being stuck in the YG dungeon for so long.

I know the members have this particular sound in their solos like Rosè has this you know Taylor Swift/Olivia Rodrigo sound, Jisoo is mostly 2010 pop style and both Jennie and Lisa have this swagger hip hop style they incorporate I think that their overall you know positions in the group have kinda shaped their solo identities in a way.

One thing I noticed in this space is that either I said either, Rosè and Jennie’s albums tend to receive high ratings or gets praised overall. But in particular, I’ve seen a lot say that Ruby is one of the strongest solo projects, of course it still gets criticism but everyone gets different opinions.

So I’m curious what made Ruby stand out from the other solo albums of the members?

Was it because of Jennie’s overall artistic vision? Did it have a lot of complexities that’s why it was favored you the most? Was it the way she marketed the album? Or it appealed to your taste?

I know that due to the album’s success, a lot of companies in general are using this as inspirations for their groups which says a lot about it.

What are your thoughts what made her album stand out?
