The ones that come to mind are:
Taeyong (nct): when an sm scout approached him and told him that they were from one of the big 3, he actually thought they were talking about kbs, mbc and sbs instead. he also wasn’t really interested at first but the scout came back and even bought him toast. so he eventually agreed to audition but when he got there he didn’t know any songs to sing and ended up singing the national anthem lol.
Winwin (nct): he was first approached near his school and thought they were really suspicious so he gave them the wrong phone number. he thought the whole thing might be a scam and didn’t expect to hear from them again but they obviously didn’t give up and kept approaching him (they flew to china a couple of times at least to convince him) until he finally agreed to audition.
Wonbin (riize): i mean the way he was scouted is pretty common but it’s what happened afterwards that makes it kinda funny lol. he was scouted through an instagram dm. sm apparently liked what they saw enough that they were worried another agency might approach him once he came to seoul so the staff were told to pick him up directly from the station. and when he arrived, they also put a mask on him and told him to cover the name tag on his school uniform.
Ryujin (itzy): she was at a got7 fanmeeting/concert when she got approached by a jyp casting staff member while she was waiting in line in front of the bathroom. they asked for her number but she was suspicious and wasn’t sure if she should give it to them. she did end up giving it tho because she thought the scout was cute lol.
