As the title said more songs from This and That have been officially added on KOMCA and as such Bangchan now has 243 KOMCA credits making him the most credited idol. The break down of his credits are 201 lyric credits, 232 composition credits and 103 arrangement credits. He is the only idol in the top ten with more composition credits than lyric credits and he is the only idol with over 100 arrangement credits. His group just hit 8 years and he is 28 turning 29 this year.
This is a huge accomplishment that I think deserves a lot of praise and also reflection. He debuted at the age of 20 after training for 7 years. He became interested in being fully involved in the music he would eventually put out during that training and his company invested in that desire. He found two other trainees with similar interests and they formed a group that made music in unused practice rooms with the most basic equipment and posted them online to try and get feedback naming themselves 3racha. He was eventually given the task to build his own group and prepare them for debut, this included making their own predebut songs. They were cleared to debut as a group of 9 and 3racha continued to be the primary producers of the groups music. 3racha also acted as the groups vocal directors meaning they had a huge influence on the final sound of their music. They put out a predebut album of the songs from their survival show and then put out 3 albums in their first year and 3 more their second year. Right before their 6th mini album was set to be released the group lost a member and they had to scramble to rework what they already had to work for 8 members. After this they released their first full album and with it the song that propelled the group to stardom, God’s Menu, and from there they just kept releasing music they they made with Chan as the leader right up to today when being the most credited became official.
On the extended credits of most Stray Kids songs Chan is credited multiple times not just on Lyrics, composition, and arrangement but with vocal directors, computer editing, instrumentals, and his personal studio, Chan’s room, is listed as the recording studio. Chan’s fingerprints are all over Stray kids music and it is clearly his passion and now he is officially the most credited idol. He has earned this, not to say none of the other idols on the list haven’t earned it but Chan clearly loves his job and loves making music so seeing him at the top of the list feels like he is being rewarded for following his passion.
