We're a small Korean brand working on a plant-based (tofu) mandu — what makes a veggie mandu actually good to you? 🥟

Hi r/KoreanFood! Longtime lover of mandu here 🥟 I’m helping a small Korean food brand that’s working on a plant-based, tofu-filled vegetable mandu (no meat, no dairy), and there’s no better place than this community to get an honest gut-check.

Genuinely curious — for those of you who’ve tried veggie/plant-based mandu:

• what makes one actually good vs. disappointing?

• is texture usually the dealbreaker for you?

• any flavors you wish existed (kimchi? extra spicy)?

We’re also weighing a possible U.S. launch, so if you have 30 seconds, I’d be really grateful for your take in this quick anonymous survey (6 questions, no sign-up, nothing sold):

But honestly even a comment below helps a ton. Happy to share what we learn back with the sub. Gamsahamnida! 🙏
