- NMIXX – Heavy Serenade tied with TripleS – Baby Flower
– Insane high notes vocal performance for both
– The melody in HS is very unique, not the typical K-pop melody. Baby Flower is high-energy and heavenly at the same time
– Both songs carry meaningful lyrics and convey messages (HS: the lyrics such as “Look at the petals, turned into lyrics” are so poetic; BF: the lyrics “Through blood, sweat, and tears I’ll make myself” show the determination while growing up in the midst of harship during the young age)
– Baby Flower has better mixing of the musical instruments than Heavy Serenade imo
- Soyeon – I’m gonna TOESA
– Soyeon’s voice match perfectly with the song’s youthful, funny melody vibe
– The message is meaningful – encouraging people to cherish their time and live life to the fullest
3, I-dle – Love is Pain
– The only ballad song in the list
– The lyrics and the performance of the members really bring out the full sadness after break-up as described in this song
– Miyeon’s powerful, explosive belting is insane
- I-dle – Mono
– At first, I didn’t quite like the song as the melody is very simple and the overall vibe is really toned down to minimal. However, when I listen to it more and more, it starts growing on me.
– The melody gives an unconventionally pleasant experience that I rarely find in a K-pop song. The vibe feels artistic, high-class and comfortable.
– The message is great here – regardless of your identities, nations, background, love yourself and love the people around you. I like the idea of spreading the love because there’s too much hate about other people and things around the world.
