Shisho leaf as substitute for perilla leaf

Hello hello!

My local Kodean market does not compromise, only bringing in produce when it is properly in season. Totally fair, and I always shop there first!

But i do want to do aome things with perilla leaf, which they don’t have yet fresh. (Their perilla kimchee is amazing, though!)

The Chinese market down the way has some of those green and purple type of shisho leaves. Do you think that will work ok as a substitute, or no?
