Restaurant food – Traditional Korean Neobiani Gui Set

Restaurant food - Traditional Korean Neobiani Gui Set

This weekend, we went to Myung Dong Noodle House (Little Neck NY) and had (as named on the menu):

pic 1) Traditional Korean Neobiani Gui Set (per menu: “served with salad with black sesame and fruits dressing, cast iron pot cooked rice, traditional marinated beef, soon tofu soup with mushrooms, and dried radish leaf with perilla seed seasoning”).

pic 2) Salad from aforementioned dish.

pic 3) Scallion pancake with assorted seafood.

pic 4) Banchan, with sauce for the pancake.

The set was pretty good! The meat was flavorful, the radish leaf (which tasted like spinach to me) was interesting (in a good way), the rice was excellent (especially the crust on the bottom), and I wish the tofu mushroom soup was bigger.

They said the little fruit drink included with the salad was a detox to drink first (it tasted like apple cider vinegar). The black sesame dressing was good.

The pancake was very good.

Their kimchi was very spicy (my gf loves kimchi, but she couldn’t eat this one).
