Lee to hold press conference on June 8 marking 1st anniversary of inauguration

President Lee Jae Myung will hold a press conference early next month marking the first anniversary of his inauguration, a senior presidential official said Wednesday. The press conference will be held June 8 at Cheong Wa Dae, where Lee will review the first year of his administration and unveil his policy vision and key tasks for the second year and hold a question-and-answer session with reporters, the official said. The event will last one hour and 40 minutes or longer and will be attended by more than 100 local and foreign reporters, said Lee Kyu-youn, senior presidential secretary for public relations and communication. It marks Lee’s fourth press conference since taking office June 4, 2025. The press conference will cover three major areas — the economy, politics and diplomacy, and social and cultural issues, the senior official said.
