you should be aware that kard ignore and fund the genocide of ukrainians

before I start, I beg you not to react to this like “music is out of politics”, “kpop is out of politics”. this situation hurt me in many ways, and if you don’t have energy to deal with such topic, i understand, but don’t try to make feel like I don’t know what I’m saying, seeing, feeling, etc. or don’t have the right to do so

a few days ago, it became known that kard are going to moscow for a concert and to become a jury at the festival

just for clarification, I’m ukrainian. there are also tons of controversies with other groups that got associated with russia in different ways since 2022, when russia invaded ukraine, but this case combines all of that and more, and I’ll try to explain that

28.04. it becomes known that kard will perform in moscow on may 28 and be juries on may 24.

29.04. the information got confirmed through kard’s weverse

30.04. a video message from kard has been released, where they express how excited they are to perform in and visit russia

i would say ukrainian kpop fans got really bad sleep these days. kard members didn’t react at all despite viewing a lot of stories ukrainian kpop fans posted on instagram – first there were just simple comments with questions whether it’s true or not, then there were stories from people who interacted with members in the past. kard know about the war – they asked their ukrainian fans how it’s going, they showed sympathy and expressed understanding. to one, matthew said “hope it ends soon”, they all said they wanted to visit ukraine.

5 months later she saw the announcement about the concert in moscow. you don’t know how it feels, but for us it seems like the world doesn’t want us there. we have no such concerts, there’s only constant air defense alarm at night, news about new deaths of our people.

kard knew about what they’ll receive, logically. and they were fine. the organizers of this concert confirmed in telegram that they discussed it TWICE. first time before the announcement and the second is after.

simple awareness is fine with me, but if you want to support ukrainian kpop fans, please share some kind words. to those who read it fully and/or interacted with this post, thank you
