Making chunjang from scratch

Hello! I wanted to know if it is possible to make chunjang from scratch for jajangmyeon since none of the stores in my area sell it. I’ve only tried instant jajangmyeon and it’s been driving me insane for months now I want to try the sauce itself not an instant sauce. I’ve found only this type of fermented black beans online and don’t know if it’ll be useful in making chunjang at home?

p.s I tried the Chinese black bean sauce and it was salty for my liking that’s why I wanted to try the Korean version of the sauce since I don’t think it’ll be salty.
