For the first two years of their career,lesserafim’s discography was almost skipless for me. Easy and crazy were amongst my favorite releases of 2024 and I regularly come back to them to this day,especially crazy. Hot was objectively a good quality release,just underwhelming for *me* personally,because I expected something similar to easy and crazy and it was more chill and laid back. I still added come over to my playlist tho.
The real downfall started after spaghetti. It was objectively far lower quality than the rest of their title tracks. Tho it was really fun as an era,the girls were visibly enjoying it and the bside (pearlies) was good,so I overlooked it expecting the rest of their singles to be back to the usual quality.
Celebration let me down tho. Admittedly,it’s not as bad as spaghetti,but still not on par with the quality lesserafim has us used to. It’s a basic edm beat with an unfinished structure because the beat drops end really abruptly. It’s also not as rich production wise as the rest of their discography,it falls kinda flat.
I think after the success of gnarly,more hybe groups switched focus towards virality,causing their music quality to drop. Tho there are still 10 tracks to be released in pureflow and considering I’ve liked most of lesserafim’s discography except for those two singles,I’m sure I’ll find something I like. I’ll overlook them if the rest of pureflow is good,I just hope lesserafim doesn’t get rid of everything I like about their music 🙏
