The original soundtrack of Netflix’s hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters has held steady at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking its 17th consecutive week on the ranking.
According to Billboard’s preview report released on Sunday, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack maintained its No. 2 position from last week, extending its impressive run on the main albums chart to 17 weeks.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift continued her reign at No. 1 for a second consecutive week with her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the United States based on “album units,” a composite measure that includes traditional album sales, track-equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming-equivalent albums (SEA).
During the latest tracking week, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack recorded 104,000 equivalent album units — up 9% from the previous week. Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl tallied 338,000 units, down 92% from its record-breaking debut of 4.002 million units.
That debut figure remains the highest single-week total since Billboard began electronically tracking album sales in 1991.
