The crowds at Katseye’s concerts had a lot of people talking about how young the fanbase is. However, i don’t find it surprising at all considering the history of big global girl groups… For example, the Spice Girls had more mature, non-brainrot music, but they still ended up with a fanbase of young girls as well.
I think what it comes down to is that young girls love seeing a close knit group of girls in a group. They like to view them as role models with their fashion, powerful dancing, singing, etc..
Do I think their music is partly to do with it? Yes, but I would also blame other factors. Do I think the girls seem disappointed by it? Also yes, but at the end of the day when you think of iconic girl groups (outside of kpop) the spice girls comes to mind, so it’s not a big deal in retrospect.
idk I just think people are making it a bigger deal than it is. I’m an adult, and honestly I think the whole age appropriate discussion is kinda unproductive considering the music and concerts kids used to listen to when I was a child lol.
