I know it’s been loud lately about Jay Park making himself an unseparable part of lngshot but I need to take about a different aspect of their relationship.
Aside form the artistic association Jay has been crossing a lot of boundaries that should never be crossed in an employer-emoloyee relationship, especially one involving minors.
At the beginning of this year the members admitted on live that he used to literally stumble in their dorm in the middle of the night, drunk. That started when a lot of them were still minors and the way they talke about it horrified me. A 17 year old boy should not be able to describe, *in detail*, how his 40 year old boss and mentor behaves when he is blackout drunk. Not to mention the hosts laughing and saying they need to understand Jay doing it because he is “a lonely guy”
Then just this week on their podcast the members started talking about Jay hitting all of them aside from Louis. One of them even stated “I was a minor too and he still hit me” and Jay apparently justified it with “he looked innocent and you did not”. Of course the fans were quick to dismiss it saying what the members described was “play fighting”. But the comment made by one of them about being a minor shows they weren’t fully okay with it.
And even if they were, once again, Jay is twice their age, he is their employer, the owner of their brand, the CEO of a company they are signed with, it is NOT normal for someone in his position to “play fight” with his teenage employees.
It is clear that he doesn’t have any professional boundaries and doesn’t realise that the boys are not his peers or friends. They shouldn’t and cannot be this level of friends in the power dynamic they are in as rookie idols and company owner.
I know his fans will try to deny it and call me delusional but Jay is clearly trying to relive his boy group days and he is doing it in the most irresponsible way possible treating a group of kids whose whole career depends on him as his bandmates.
He is on track to creating an emotional dependency the level of MHJ calling NJ at night crying and expecting them to comfort her.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?
