I hear a lot of criticism against Lisa always singing about the same things (money, being hot, haters etc.) but honestly, I kind of respect the fact that she sticks to her concept and sound, instead of chasing whatever is trendy. She has a brand, and she doesn’t stray far from it. I don’t mind that honestly. And if you’re not a fan of that, that’s totally okay for you to find another artist that suits your taste instead. Idk why fans keep trying to tell Lisa what to do with her own music, she honestly can sing about whatever she wants (except for FIFA, that was when it was pretty bad to sing about her hot body lol)
I understand that people wish she could dance more intricate choreographies like she used to in BP, but that’s the thing. Maybe she doesn’t want to dance like a Kpop idol anymore. It’s pretty obvious she’s trying to pivot away from being a Kpop idol, so is it surprising that she’s changing her performance style to match her new direction?
The rap verses also go pretty hard. I find myself thinking “damn girl, she’s spitting some fire”. The beat drops hard too.
I also find the pre-chorus soooo catchy, it’s stuck in my head. Probably my favorite part of the entire song.
Also, as someone who had a Thai drama phase, I’m so happy that she’s embracing her Thai roots! Being Thai is so cool, I’m glad she’s proud to show her heritage and implement that into her music.
The MV was really well shot and produced too.
This song gets better the more I listen to it.
Honestly, I’m not a blink and I’m not afraid to criticize Lisa either, so I’m not trying to glaze her. I actually enjoyed this comeback. I don’t think I’m alone either, since apparently her MV was the fastest MV in 2026 to hit 100 million views? I know some of that is from ads, but even so, it’s still an impressive achievement.
Also, congratulations to Lisa for winning Best Pop at the VMA’s! Dream was an absolute banger, had that song on repeat for all of 2025 🔥
